Explore the Homes

Our first house is an expansive, Craftsman-style estate, built by restoration-contractor Textured Home.  This home offers the rare combination of original, turn-of-the-century detailing with uncompromising new construction.  Integrating authentic, salvaged treasures from historic properties around the country, this virtual ground-up renovation incorporates unique stained-glass windows, a butler’s pantry and period built-ins, a California Mission mantle, an interior leaded glass skylight and collectors-level batchelder tile – all accented with many circa 1905 Arts and Crafts antiques. Features for today’s living include an expansive master-suite with fireplace, state-of-the-art gourmet kitchen, a gracious, sun-filled great room, smart house stereo, computer wiring, wine cellar, media room, and gym.

JLMN House Tour ecofriendly kitchenThe second home on the JLMN House Tour is a 1771 historic farmhouse featuring a wrap around front porch, hand turned walnut staircase, classic wide moldings, large deck, and wide board pine floors.  This residence has been lovingly restored and updated by its current owners, and is our featured green home.

Next, we have a lovely 1912 colonial home on a fabulous street which features views of New York City, expansive rooms, high ceilings, gracious details, and modern amenities for today’s living.  The basement includes a screening area, game room and music room, while the 2nd floor features an amazing master suite with a den, walk through closet and beautiful bathroom. The third floor is a retreat for the current owners’ children, and houses their bedrooms, bathroom, loft area with TV and desks, and a playroom.  This home has been renovated from top to bottom.

JLMN House Tour gardenOur fourth home is a magnificent 1885 Colonial Revival which marries modern updates with the charm of yesteryear.  Period details include a 50+ foot long elegant front porch, a grand scale staircase, high ceilings, leaded glass windows and built-ins, hardwood floors, window seats, and a charming English garden.

Finally, you will want to visit an authentic carriage house turned private home on very private, over-sized grounds with year-round skyline views of New York City.  The property feels like Provence!  This unique home offers an open floor plan, a large deck, beamed ceilings, and a den with original tack room built-ins.

We hope you enjoy a wonderful day exploring these houses and finding inspiration for your own home!
